How To Label Your Items for Garage
Sale Success!
Buyers appreciate it when you have labels on everything.
Some people will walk away rather than ask the price of an
unmarked item. Having labels expedites the whole garage sale
process. For the most part, the price is all you need while
other times you may include pertinent information such as
size.
Try to identify antique
treasures before you sell them as junk! It happens every
day.
TIP: Having an "all for $1.00" table or bin where items are
priced the same is a short cut to putting price labels on
everything. For everything else, use those
labels.
TIP: A big garage sale draw is infant and toddler clothing.
Organize these items by size and pin two pieced items
together.
TIP: Don’t be like the grocery store which places the
stickers on the best part of the
fruit!
TIP: Stickers can raise havoc on a nice piece of wood.
Place them where they can be seen and not do any
damage.
TIP: Cut up manila folders or pieces of oak tag to create
hanging tags. Cut a hole in one end and fasten it to your
items with a piece of string – presto, a perfect tag for
clothes.
TIP: Purchase inexpensive racks found at most department
stores. Clean and neatly presented clothes that are hanging
on racks attract buyers.
What you can't sell on Ebay
you can sell at a garage sale or vice versa. This makes
for a win win situaltion.
